Nadia Lécuyer, Acting Director of the Sexual Misconduct Response Centre

What am I supposed to say?

Hi, I’m Nadia Lécuyer. I’m the Acting Director of the Sexual Misconduct Response Centre and I’m here for the 60 Second Challenge. Here we go.

1. What has been the greatest challenge you have faced?

I would say as a Mama to a 7-year-old boy it would be work-life balance and self-care.

2. Who helped you most along the way?

My family.

3. Why did you join the CAF or public service?

To be… to help Canadians in everyday life and access to government services. And I’ve been lucky enough to work in direct frontline services to the Canadian public my entire career.

4. What is your greatest fear?

Spiders.

5. What would you have been if you weren’t in your current career?

A singer.

6. If you could change anything in the CAF or DND, what would it be and why?

I would change this whole issue around sexual misconduct and I would eradicate it from the Forces.
